Dr. Komro and her colleagues at the UF Institute for Child Health Policy and Cherokee Nation Behavioral Health published an article entitled “Prevention Trial in the Cherokee Nation: Design of a Randomized Community Trial” in the March 2014 issue of Prevention Science. The paper centers on the continuing struggle with alcohol-related risks and consequences among youth, especially among rural and Native American youth, and explores a community-level intervention designed to prevent underage drinking and associated negative consequences among high-risk, underserved communities. Congratulations, Dr. Komro and team!
